This is a pre-launch page for an app that is not out yet. These terms cover the page, not the app.
This document is a plain-language template provided for convenience. It is not legal advice — please review and adapt it (ideally with a professional) before relying on it for your business.
What this page is
A description of an app in development, and a form to be told when it is released. Nothing here is a contract of sale, and no payment is taken anywhere on this site.
The waitlist
Adding your address puts you on a list we will write to once, when the app is available. Joining it does not reserve a copy, guarantee a price, or guarantee access to a test build. If you ticked the tester box we may write to offer you one; we may also not have room.
The app is free, and the subscription
Iqra is free and complete. Every verse, translation, recitation, lesson, story and the whole memorisation plan are available to everyone at no cost, and no part of the Qur'an is ever behind a payment.
The free version shows two adverts — one at the bottom of the home tab, one after a finished memorisation session — and an optional subscription removes them. That is the only thing it does; it unlocks nothing. It is bought and cancelled through Apple or Google, never on this site, and it is governed by the standard end user licence agreement of whichever store you bought it from. Cancelling brings the adverts back and takes nothing else away.
What is not promised
Release dates, features and prices described here are current intentions and may change. The screenshots are captures of a development build. If something on this page turns out not to be in the released app, the page gets corrected.
Religious content
The app presents the Qur'an, translations of its meaning, hadith, supplications and retold accounts, each with its source shown. A translation is a translation, not the Qur'an itself. Nothing in the app is a religious ruling, and it is not a substitute for a teacher.
Content on this site
The text, images and the Iqra name and mark on this page belong to us. Please do not reproduce them as your own. Arabic scripture text is not anyone's property; the recordings and translations used in the app belong to their own rights holders and are credited in the app.
Liability
This site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using it or from relying on statements about an unreleased product.
